- Visit my favourite photography forum: http://www.supapix.net/forums/index.php Photo magazines I subscribe to: There are many good, printed photo magazines and I often buy one or another because it has an article of special interest to me but here are only two photo magazines that I subscribe to and read cover to cover. - Photo Life Is light on advertising and rich in interesting photographs and informative articles. To top it of, it has a lot of Canadian content because it is Canadian published magazine https://www.photolife.com/ - Outdoor Photography Magazine Canada is relatively new on the market. To a magazine with a name like that, I had to subscribe no matter what. Last month I received a second issue so, the judgement is still open but, so far I like what I see. It's even more Canada oriented than Photo Life is so, it hits the spot. I highly recommend it not only to Canadian nature photographers but also to anybody who considers a photo visit to Canada. If the publishers continue on the current path, I will renew my subscription without a second thought. http://www.outdoorphotographycanada.com/ Photo related software I use: - Nikon Capture NX After trying numerous RAW converters for my D80, I find it to be the very best - Nikon View NX - ToneUp S3 is the next best thing to Capture NX and it is unbeatable when it comes to editing curves. It also does channel swapping (excellent for IR photography )in a jiffy and many other things. A really low priced alternative for a serious photographer. In this case, you get much more than you pay for! http://www.toneupstudio.com/ - Neat Image is a noise reduction software. Even that I am the author of the noise profiles for D50 jpgs (you can download these from Neat Image website) and the software works very well, I seldom use it because; D50 and D80 hardly ever needs any noise reduction. http://www.neatimage.com -GPicSync is software that automatically inserts location in your photos metadata so they can also be used with any 'geocode aware' application. It works with JPGs and most RAW formats and it is FREE! Download from http://code.google.com/p/gpicsync/ and visit the user group at http://groups.google.com/group/gpicsync?hl=en - Maps and mapping software: www.CanadianMaps.ca
